VADANZ webinars will tackle interesting topics within VAD that deserve more attention. Experts from across Australia and New Zealand will discuss issues in-depth and take your questions. VADANZ webinars are included in VADANZ membership.

VADANZ is delighted to present the second in our webinar series for 2024, exclusively for members.

Join us for a one-hour webinar on June 17 to explore VAD pharmacology and physiology – ‘what we didn’t learn for our primaries’.

The session will consist of a panel discussion including:

Pharmacokinetics of the drugs used in VAD
The pharmacodynamic and physiologic response to VAD drug administration
Relevant overseas experience.

All VADANZ members are invited and welcome to attend this free event.

The webinar will be held on Wednesday July 17, 6.00pm AEST, 8.00pm NZST.

On the webinar panel will be:

Dr Gavin Pattullo, Specialist anaethetist and Pain Medicine Physician, and authorised NSW VAD practitioner
Professor Michael Dooley, Director of Pharmacy at Alfred Health, Professor of CLinical Pharmacy, Centre for Medicine Use and Safety, Monash University, Director of the VIC Pharmacy Service.
The webinar will be hosted by Dr Vanessa Andean, a Melbourne- based anaesthetist who has been a VAD practitioner since 2022.
